Food Intelligence: Do I have FI?

What does this mean? I define FI as your ability to understand food in terms of your body, your environment and others. Its means understanding the needs of each, implementing meeting these needs, evaluating these actions, adjusting them as necessary and keeping abreast with accurate updates.

Your dietary needs include those of macronutrients (protein, carbohydrate, dietary fat and fiber), micronutrients  (vitamins, minerals and trace elements) and hydration. Are you meeting your individual needs?

FI must also include an awareness of the environment, food safety, disease prevention making healthy choices all round. How do you rate on these?

FI can be very personal but can extend to anyone in your sphere of influence, your family, children, friends and even pets! This must also go as far as conserving our eco systems and reducing our carbon footprint.

The goal is optimum health for all and our planet. FI going hand-in-hand with a balanced lifestyle, stress management and adequate rest is a winning formula!

I am hoping to cover each element of FI in depth and create added awareness in future posts to come.
